Commercial Design

The San Marco Building in Mt Martha on the Mornington Peninsula Victoria Australia is one example of our creativity being rewarded. Completed in 2011 a lot of thought process went into this property.

“We wanted something that didn’t look like it had just landed from outer space. We wanted to compliment the Village environment as well as the seaside location.”

PRODUCTS USED & THE REASON BEHIND IT

  • We used Lime-wash render so that it can age over time and look more weathered and authentic.

  • We used imported Spanish roof terracotta tiles that naturally had black specs throughout to simulate moss growing on them.

  • We designed the side door so that it has wrought iron and a smaller opening to not only see who is outside but to let in ventilation.

  • We designed the balustrade and coated with a special rust product to give the impression that it had weathered and been there for a long time.

  • The large French windows at the front overlook the bay and make the most of the sunsets.
